This Week's Prayer of the Faithful

The Lord is King. His throne stands firm from of old. Coming before the throne of heaven, we voice our petitions to our merciful Father:

That the Church, the seed and beginning of the kingdom of heaven, will be sanctified, renewed, and fortified with every grace of heaven.

For all world leaders: that they will recognize that their power is a sharing in the authority of God, and show that they revere that truth in the way they rule.

For a transformation of our culture: that the culture of life proclaimed by Christ the King will reign in every human heart and relationship.

For those who struggle with addictions: that Christ the King will liberate them from every destructive enslavement and bless them with the freedom of God's sons and daughters.

For the victims of tyranny, persecution, oppression, or racism: that the truth, the justice, and the sovereignty of Christ the King will rid the world of every trace of hatred.

For the grace this week to surrender ourselves in obedience to the kingdom of God.

Loving Father, Christ the King has made us into a kingdom. Renew our obedience and faithfulness, and be pleased with the prayers we offer, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Knights of Columbus Prayer

Our lady, Queen of the Knights, bless all the activities of our order. Keep us true to our pledge to extend the Kingship of thy Divine Son on earth. Through thine intercession, win for us the grace ever to exemplify, in our public and private lives, the virtues which should characterize those specially dedicated to the service of the heavenly court. Make us always aware that as your Knights we are constantly observed, our faith judged, and our order appreciated. Accept, O Mary, this renewed pledge of fealty and devotion of thy servants, the Knights of Columbus. - Amen
